We are an open club and we welcome new members and guests. We meet every week, so you are most welcome to join in to witness our sessions.

Engaging in our activities gives you the power and confidence to face different situations. They provide wonderful opportunities to enhance communications and leadership abilities and your career as well.

Why Toastmasters?

Toastmasters International, a non-profit organization, has since 1924,  given it's members an opportunity to develop and improve their public speaking abilities through local club meetings, training seminars and speech contests.

Professionals and beginning speakers alike benefit from our practical, face-to-face learning program. Whether you're speaking to the board of directors, your customers, your co-workers or your kids, Toastmasters can help you do it better. You'll learn and practice in a friendly, comfortable environment with people who are there for the same reason you are—to become better communicators.

President's Message

Be more, Do More

It gives me great honor and pleasure to serve as President of this distinguished ABC Toastmasters Club for the Period 2017-18.

The theme for this Toastmaster Year is “Be more, do more!”

We are going to have more fun as we build more confidence speaking in front of an audience, as we attain mastery over our fear of public speaking and as we become more comfortable speaking extemporaneously. How - you may ask? The answer is by doing more, such as taking up more roles, attending meetings regularly, participating more in contests, taking on more leadership roles, mentoring more new members and volunteering to do more.

Our club exhibits caring, safer and supportive environment where we come together to practice and hone our speaking and leadership skills through constructive feedback. There is always humor, laughter and good cheer at every meeting.

Toastmasters club is not only the place where leaders are made, but it is also the place where enduring friendships are forged while taking the Toastmasters journey together. The structured self-paced program starts at the Competent Communicator and Competent Leader levels, then progresses to several Advanced Communicator and Advanced Leadership levels, and culminates at the highest designation of Distinguished Toastmaster. All along the way, we recognize each Toastmaster’s milestone achievements with awards and celebrations.

To this end, I challenge each one of you to set one personal and one professional goal to be achieved during this Toastmasters’ year: Be more, do more! And as a club, as we do more, we will achieve President’s Distinguished Club status. Lao Tze said “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” This is your journey and the ABC Toastmasters family is here to walk with you.

Enjoy your journey!
